IIS Site taking long time to show

I have a website which is hosted on our internal server.

We are using

  • Server 2008 R2 64bits
  • SQL server 2008

When I tried to access the site it take 5 minutes but was timeout and in IE it was not save cookies. becase my domain name was site_dev.domain.com (which IE dont like this http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2180465/can-someone-have-a-subdomain-with-an-underscore-in-it/) so I rename my site to siteDev.domain.com which fixed my cookies problem.

For some reason my site is still taking long time to display each page e.g. 30 60 sec.

I also added the site into proxy to avoid this site checking.

I have same site which is running on my private home network and it takes few sec to display page.

Our firewall on server is turned off. We dont block any internal traiff.

I really need to sort this out. Why would one site be taking time to load where other site will be much faster.
